Just got some new boards from WES just in time for this south shore swell. Waves today were 3-4ft. I surfed with Kai, Teppei Tajima and Jason Shibata at Queen's. Fun rights but lots of people, longboards and stand up paddle boarders but still got lots of waves. Suppose to be bigger tomorrow ! Will let you know how it was.

丁度サウスショアのサイズアップに合わせてWESからニューボードが届いた。今日は３−４ftで、カイと田嶋鉄兵、ジェイソンシバタとクイーンズで入った。ファンなライトだったけど、ロングボーダーやSUPやら、とにかく人が多過ぎ。でも波数はあったのでまあ。明日はもっと上がりそう！また報告するよ。



The yellow is 6'0" x 19 x 2 1/2 with the wide point up and a fuller nose. The other one is 5'6" x 20 1/4 x 2 1/2. I rode it at Queens today as a Quad. Really fast and loose ! Tomorrow I"ll try it as a 5-fin if the waves aren't too big.

イエローのは「6'0" x 19 x 2 1/2」で幅を持たせノーズも浮力を持たせた。もう1本のは、「5'6" x 20 1/4 x 2 1/2」。今日クイーンズではコイツをクアッドで使ったんだけど、マジでスピード出るしルースするね！明日サイズがでかすぎなければ５フィンで試してみたいね。

Good out of season swell on the North Shore today. Haleiwa was about 3-5 ft. Certain places may have gotten up to 6 ft !! This might be the last good size swell on the North Shore for awhile so I was stoked to get out there today.

今日季節外れのウネリがノースにヒット！ハレイワは３−５ft。6ftまで上がる場所もありそう！こんなサイズのいい波はしばらくなさそうだから今日は思い切りサーフしたよ。

It was a little windy but no one was complaining ! Everyone just stoked to surf waves here this time of year.

ちょっと風も入っていたけど誰も贅沢は言わないよ！この時期の波にありつけて大喜びだよ。



The Shark tours look really busy. Alot of people are not happy with this. We'll see what happens ?

Waves have been really good for over a week now !! Yesterday bowls got up to 6 ft !! Earlier in the week I surfed Big Rights and alot of pros were out. Kekoa Balcalso, Joel Centeio, Jason Shibata, some Haleiwa boys, Kanoa Dalin and more. This morning I surfed Big rights early. Got out at about 5:00 am. Not too crowded and still about 4 ft. There's another Big south swell on the way coming on Tuesday !! This is a pic of body boarder turned surfer Kanoa Magee teaching the JR. Lifegaurd program.

サウスショアは1週間以上も本当にいい波だった！昨日なんてボウルズで６ft！！今週の前半はビッグライトでサーフした。ケコアバカルソ、ジョエルセンティオ、ジェイソンシバタらたくさんのプロサーファーがラインアップに！カノアダリンらハレイワのサーファーもたくさん入っていたね。僕は今朝なんて、早朝５：００にはビッグライトのアウトにいたよ。全然混んでいなかったしまだまだ4ft残っていた。木曜頃には更なる南ウネリが入ってきそうだ！！写真はサーファーに転向したボディーボダーカノアマギーがジュニアライフガードプログラムを教えているところ。





Surper low tide last week. Here's the trail to Big Rights.

先週の引き一杯ロータイド。ビッグライトまで続く道ができてるよ。

Congratulations to Atsushi Yashima and his wife Koharu who were here on their honeymoon ! Atsushi is one of our top salesman and works in the Murasaki Sports Sendai store. I hung out with them a couple days surfed Diamond head , Haleiwa and toured the island.They were both stoked to get in the water and surf. Especially at Haleiwa where at about 12:00 there was only Atsushi, me and 1 other guy out ! Waves were fun too. 2 ft with some bigger sets. We had a really good time and wish them both the best on their new life together !

ヤシマアツシと奥さんのコハルがハネムーンでハワイに来たよ。アツシはFADEサーフボードのトップセールスで、ムラサキスポーツ仙台店で働いてる。僕は2人を連れて数日間、ダイアモンドヘッドに行ったりハレイワに行ったりと案内役をしました。2人とも海に入って大喜びで、特にハレイワに行った時なんかお昼12時には僕とアツシともう1名しか入っていないという貸し切り状態！しかも波もファンで大きめのセットで２ft。本当に楽しかったね。2人の新しい人生が最高でありますよーに！

FLAT !!! NO WAVES !!!! Here comes summer. Every morning the conditions have been perfect for about a couple weeks now. Laniakea was good this past weekend. Very weird weather for this time of year. It seems like Jan. or Feb with all these variable wind days. its suppose to come up this weekend ?? We'll see.

フラットで全く波が無い！！夏が来たんだなー。ここ2、3週間は午前中はパーフェクトコンディションが続いたし、ラニアケアは先週末は良かったのに。今回はすごく変な気象状況だ。風向きもコロコロ変わってまるで1、2月のような感じ。今週末は波上がるかな！？期待したいね。
